"Wolfie is my 8 year old dog. He is a mix of mostly Yorkie, with a little bit of Shih Tzu, and weighs 7 pounds, most of it attitude.

He has had frequent stomach issues from the time he was young - vomiting, diarrhea , abdominal pain where he will not walk, shaking/shivering and loss of appetite.

Although not formally diagnosed in Wolfie, liver shunts are most common in yorkies and disrupt liver function including protein metabolism. Researching the problem I read that plant based protein gives better support of liver function.

Wolfie has been on Virchew for over a year. He loves it and his episodes are much less frequent and not as severe when he does have one.

Finding out about Laura and Virchew and that she was in my neighbourhood, was a stroke of good fortune."
